23 more sleeps as “they” say until my experience begins as an Ambassador for Inman Connect San Francisco 2015. Excited, nervous, anxious, humbled and honored are some of the feelings I’ve been experiencing since I was asked to be an Inman Connect Ambassador. One of 40 people who will do the very best to “connect people” and keep everyone informed of what’s happening in the real world of real estate and technology.
I attended my first Inman Connect last summer, #ICSF2014. I was excited to attend as I knew many of the 2014 Ambassadors from my years being with Coldwell Banker. The moment I walked in, it was like a scene from “Cheers”! “Where Everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came.” Okay, so I had a big badge hanging on me with my name, that did make it easier to “connect” with people from all over the world. I made friends at the sessions, made more new friends in the lobby (hint: a great place to meet up with wonderful peeps!), took Uber rides down Lombard Street together, had many lunches with wonderful people, and a very special group tour of the Anchor Brewery – so many great memories of the wonderful times with fabulous people. It was an amazing week to learn and make new friends!
If you have never attended Inman Connect, get your ticket now! Use my special Ambassador code to get a discount!
Oh, and Vendor Ally is really cool too with all the new ‘things’ happening in the tech world and real estate.
If you are a first time attendee or hesitant about meeting someone – Come find me! My goal is to make you feel like “Everybody Knows Your Name” and to “Connect” you with amazing people who will become your friends through this journey called life.
See you in San Fransisco in 23 more sleeps….#ICSF2015.
“Where Everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came”…
Universal Studios – One night only for Coldwell Banker associates!
Getting ready to leave Sunday evening for Hollywood CA. for the Coldwell Banker #GenBlue convention. This will be my 13th year attending the annual Coldwell Banker convention. This is an event that brings CB associates from all over the world. Looking forward to meeting the group from Spain, and seeing so many friends that I have met over the years!
I am very excited to say that we have a large group of 16 coming from our Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette offices here in Northwest Arkansas. Many of them have never been to Southern California – so it will be fun to show them around and maybe see a movie star or two! A trip maybe to Rodeo Drive and the Hollywood Walk of Fame may be on the agenda…
I was born and raised a few miles west of Hollywood – so this trip to #GenBlue is coming home for me. Anxious to see how the area has changed over the last several years since my last visit. I will be taking in a little “beach action” too, as I do miss the sounds of waves crashing…also a quick 2 hr. trip west to the Palm Springs area to see my brother for a day or so.
I take the time to attend these functions to better myself and my clients. It will be a jam packed 3 days of fabulous learning sessions and the people I meet are simply the best! Coldwell Banker brings in so many top notch, amazing speakers including the divine Jane Lynch, an actress, known for Glee (2009), Wreck-It Ralph (2012) and The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) who is speaking at the opening session at the Dolby Theater. Yes, Coldwell Banker goes all out at these events! An amazing team of great people that pull this off – hats off to the entire team!
I come back pumped and energized to get my business going to the next level! And with technology – I am still available to handle the needs of my customers while I am 22oo miles away.
This year I am wearing a dear friends’ #GenBlue badge in memory. Our dear friend and colleague, Sandy Widdicombe, suddenly gone way too soon from sudden cardiac arrest a couple of weeks ago… So she will be with us in spirit! She was so excited to come to #GenBlue this year. What an amazing women and friend….please keep her daughter and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
Off to see how few things I can take for 100* weather – really! It should be in the 70’s & 80’s in SoCal this time of year – crazy weather! Hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Don’t you love the front porch and curb appeal on this home?
This is one example of a successful house hunt in the Rogers area of Northwest Arkansas.
I have the pleasure of representing The Cooper family on the purchase of this beautiful home. A little background – I assisted The Cooper family over 10 years ago when they moved from this area. Upon their return to NWA and the decision to start locating a home here again – they reached out to me! Just proves that real estate is about the relationships you make along the way.
This mature neighborhood offers meandering streets, large trees, and close is to everything a busy family wants or needs. We can’t share any inside pictures or purchase price yet, as we have just completed the home inspection, and are on the road to close this home early July! I can share that this home has had a beautiful make over with granite counters, wood floors, soothing colors, and a fantastic tree house in the back yard!
Successful house hunting – this is why I enjoy working as a REALTOR®. The feeling of complete satisfaction when we find a home and area that works perfect for everyone!
Please contact me if you are looking to sell a home or to have a successful house hunting experience in Northwest Arkansas. With over 12 years assisting people from all over the world moving in and out of this area, I can help you! I look forward to hearing from you.
This old automotive shop sat at the edge of town years ago – it now stands in the middle of new neighborhoods…The boom in demand for property around the downtown area is changing the landscape.
Predicting the real estate market….
Predicting the real estate market…
The question I hear most is: “How is the real estate market, and where do you see the increase in growth in NW Arkansas in the next 3 – 5 years?
My answer is usually – let me look into my “Crystal Ball”… (I say, somewhat jokingly.)
Predicting the real estate market in any area is created by supply and demand. Location, location, location will always bring the better investment. As a professional real estate agent, you study past and current trends, you have lived with the growth, you are aware of what the city and county planners have on the twenty year projections; however, you can never predict human nature. What a buyer emotionally feels when entering the house will determine the value of the property. When a property is priced within their budget, in a location that they desire, that buyer is willing to pay a fair market price based on knowledgable facts from their real estate agent.
The Northwest Arkansas area draws people from all over the world to work with vendors that supply WalMart. Every product you see in a WalMart store is represented by an office here in the NWA area. Some are quite large, like Proctor & Gamble and Hershey’s, while others may be only a small one person office. Many people relocate to this area everyday bringing their families for possibly a short 3 – 5 years here. It’s important to make the right financial choice, as well as manage the emotional feelings.
Living here for 25 years, I have experienced the explosion of growth all over NWA. The scramble for this area is to keep up with the transportation, schools and housing demands. We are in a state of constant change! We have become a desirable destination to live, work and play. All indicators show the NWA area will see continued growth over the next many years. So many opportunities are here. Each day brings news of companies moving or expanding here.
If you would like to chat with me about what I see in the “crystal ball”, connect with me. I am here to share my 15 years of real estate market info with buyers and sellers in the Northwest Arkansas area.
“I predict the future is good for Northwest Arkansas!”
Rare sight to catch no one on the downtown square. On Saturday mornings it’s filled with the Farmer’s Market and First Friday’s are wonderful family fun events.
